Bill O'Keeffe was a rancher and diagnosed diabetic who loved his work; however, the tough lifestyle took a toll on his skin. His daughter, Tara, seeing the discomfort caused by his chronically dry skin, was driven to find a product to provide relief. Applying her skills as a pharmacist, Tara spent years creating and testing various formulations mixed in her kitchen until many years later she developed the formula for what has become O'Keeffe's Working Hands and eventually, the rest of the O'Keeffe's product line.
