Direct-set thermophilic culture for hard, Italian & Swiss cheeses (Parmesan, Romano, Provolone, Emmental/Swiss). This key ingredient is generally combined with rennet and other ingredients to make cheese at home. Contains: (ST) Streptoccus thermophiles. Eight packets. Use as directed by recipe or at the following rate: 1 packet per gallon of milk; 2 packets per 2-5 gallons of milk; or 4 packets per 5-10 gallons of milk. Gluten-free, non-GMO. Processed in a facility that processes products containing gluten and dairy. Actual product packaging may differ from image shown above.

  • INCLUDES: 4 packets of powdered Streptococcus thermophilus starter culture, as well as 2 rennet tablets for cheese making. (Recipes typically only call for ¼–½ tablet at a time.)
  • VERSATILE: Makes a variety of hard and semi-hard cheeses, including provolone cheese, Asiago cheese, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, and Romano cheese. If combined with our mesophilic starter, can also make Manchego and Montasio.
