Kochere is southwest of the town of Yirga Cheffe and near a little village of Ch'elelek'tu in the Gedeo zone of Ethiopia. It has long been known as one of the best origins for southern Ethiopian coffee.
Kochere is growing in popularity, highlighting the stable diversity of Yirgacheffe's unique attributes. Through establishing long-term relationships with these communities, both coffee distributers and consumers take part in helping to empower these farmers to become self sufficient and strengthen the local community and family structure.
We chose to partner with Yirgacheffe Coffee growers because we love to provide great tasting coffee for our customers while immensely impacting the local community where the coffee is grown.

- ROASTING NOTES: This product is a Natural Process and we obtain Honey on The Dry, Stone Fruit on Steep and Dark Chocolate on the aftertaste.

- PROCESS: This coffee is a natural process coffee. Due to the shortage of water the coffee cherry is dried with the cherry on the bean. It is then separated. This produces an aroma that is fruity. this is NOT off. this is very normal. Please roast mid way from 1st crack to second. This allows for the full sweetness of the bean to develop. If there are any issues or questions please ask us.
- ROASTING IMPORTANT: Please note - as per above - Roast this coffee at least Mid Way AFTER 1st Crack has ended ideally out as 2nd Crack starts - this extra roast time converts any organic acid to a Nutty Flavor - this is a high grade specialty coffee -
