Panforte bases its roots in the most ancient Tuscan tradition, its name is in fact born from the "Panmelato", a cake that was prepared until the 10th century. The original recipe was embellished when the "Speziali", ancient pharmacists, added precious spices from the East. Whole sweet almonds, orange peel, melon and candied citron blend to give life to a unique dough that still today is made by hand to guarantee its authentic taste. Il Panforte fonda le sue radici nella più antica tradizione toscana, il suo nome nasce infatti dal "Panmelato" un dolce che veniva preparato fino al x secolo. La ricetta originale venne impreziosita quando gli "Speziali", antichi farmacisti, vi aggiunsero spezie pregiate provenienti dall'oriente. Mandorle dolci intere, scorza d'arancia, melone e cedro canditi si fondono per dar vita ad un impasto unico che ancora oggi viene steso a mano per garantire tutta l'autenticità del gusto.
