Help save the bees and grow your garden with the Rivajam Beekeeper Pro Edition
This hand-made, specially designed bee house is made by Rivajam from sustainable pine. The inside boasts 96 nesting tubes, allowing plenty of space for bees to nest and lay their larvae. Replacement nesting tubes are available.
The Beekeeper Pro bee house is for solitary bees like mason, orchard, leaf-cutter, aphid or carpenter bees - super pollinators. It must be in full sun, facing south east or south, at least 3.3ft but no more than 6.5ft off the ground. There must be no trees or plants in the way of the entrances.
The Beekeeper Pro must be firmly fixed so that it does not move in the wind, so don't hang it from a tree branch. It is designed to provide the perfect bee shelter. Mounting hooks have been provided on the back of each Beekeeper Pro (fixings not included - please use the right fixing for your mounting surface).
The included paper inserts (~96) can be snugly inserted into each cardboard nesting tube, to help further maximize the lifespan of your Beekeeper Pro. Particularly in colder climates, it's important to store your tubes filled with bee larvae inside (in an unheated garage or refrigerator for example; cocoons must be kept below 55 degrees F for healthy hatching) to help ensure they don't freeze during the winter. Our unique, quick-place system has been designed so that you can easily keep your bee larvae alive during winter, ready to be placed outside for hatching when Spring arrives. Unlike the strong cardboard tubes, the paper inserts are also easy to unwind, open and take out the bee larvae for your inspection.
