Orange Sulawesi Rabbit Snails Tylomelania are one of the rarest snails in the aquarium hobby. These beautiful yellow-orange bodied with dark brown to black shells that are sometimes white at the tip. There wrinkly skin and long snouts resemble an elephant and hence their other common name of elephant snail. They are very unique and unusual snail that will only reproduce slowly in an aquarium and will not overpopulate. They are one on the larger Freshwater snails with shell lengths up to 4". They are great scavengers and good algae eaters. They will eat delicate plants if hungry but prefer other food stuffs like the algae and left over food bits.
