The red color is in the glass, not sprayed on, so it won't chip or flake off. They are a true ruby red color. There are variations in these hearts. Some are thicker than others. Some may be slightly lighter in color. You might find some with a spot or two on it. One side of the heart could be higher than the other. It's almost like they were hand made, but surely they were not. Each heart is one inch across and about a half an inch high. A one-pound bag contains approximately 32 hearts.
