California native Kyle Larson and the no. 42 DC solar Chevrolet honored the victims of the 2017 Las Vegas concert tragedy in the September 16 Monster Energy NASCAR cup series event at Las Vegas motor Speedway. To support the families who lost loved ones in the tragedy, Larson's no. 42 donned a special American flag and “Vegas strong” messaging. Several employees of team partner DC solar were in Attendance at the country Music festival and were in the crowd during the Shooting.
