Owned by mar die faucets and trained and shown by Danny Robertshaw, protocol and Danny made history in 1989. In addition to being champion in the regular working hunter in 19 shows, Danny became the first rider to sweep wins in the regular working hunters at Devon, Pennsylvania National, Washington international, the National horse show – all in one season! Protocol also retired the pin oak farm challenge trophy at Devon that year after winning the regular working hunter Championship three consecutive times. Today the protocol trophy is awarded to the high performance hunter with the most points at Devon, Pennsylvania National, and Washington international. For their incredible achievements, Danny and protocol were individually inducted into the National show hunter Hall of Fame in 2018. Danny and his partner Ron data, fellow hunter trainer and judge, operate Danny and Ron’s rescue. Their rescue got its start when they helped homeless dogs after the devastation of hurricane Katrina, and today they've placed more than 10, 500 dogs in loving homes!
