The little Chinese-style teacups that come with this set are a bit smaller though (80 ml), so you'll get about 14 cups total from just one teapot. In summary: it's the perfect size for teatime with a few friends.

🔆 Answer: Any kind of stovetop will work (gas, electric, ceramic, glass), although the following details are important: In general (for any stovetop), we recommend to heat the teapot gradually as the stove heats, rather than putting a cold teapot directly onto a very hot stove. In the case of an induction cooktop, you may need to use a frying pan (or metal disk containing iron) between the teapot and the stove in order to transfer heat.
