These cups are 100% compostable in commercial compost facilities and have been certified by the Biodegradable Products Institute (BPI).  Greenhouse Compostable™ paper cups are coated with Ingeo™ polylactic acid biopolymer (PLA) which is derived from renewable plant sources and is designed to compost in 3-6 months in commercial compost facilities.
