How is the keg poppet valve used in the keg post?
The stem is made to float inside the spring,so the spring does not bind when threading the keg post on.
When the keg post is screwed on it will compress the assembly

How to check whether your keg post leaks or not?
You can test for gas leaks by spraying soapy water on the post.
If the keg post bubbles around the poppet, so your post is broken.
The most common cause of leaks in posts is typically a faulty poppet valve
