Designer Matthew Lerch of Sussex, WI has practiced jewelry making, watch making, and he's made a serious name for himself as a custom knifemaker. Now, he's channeled his expertise into creating the Flat Out. Its striking profile starts with the thin spearpoint blade style and is balanced by a highly ergonomic and shapely handle. Subtle details like a two-tone satin finish on the blade and bead blast finish on the handle polish the high aesthetic. In motion, though, is where the Flat Out truly shines-open it a mere 30 degrees, and OutBurst takes over, deploying the blade at shockingly quick speeds. A frame lock keeps it solidly in place.

How OutBurst Assisted Opening Works
Simply manually open the blade up to 30 degrees and the patented OutBurst assisted opening mechanism springs the knife fully open so that you're good to go. The powerful spring also holds the blade securely closed when not in use.
