How to use a wool ironing mat
This wool pressing mat is designed to prevent the blast of heat from your iron (even on the highest setting!) reaching the table below and damaging it. As the wool absorbs heat, one side will remain cool even when you iron on the other side. Bear in mind that steam can penetrate the mat, so be sure to place a waterproof layer between mat and table if necessary.
