Here are some useful tips that are good know:
1. AVOID THE ENGINE
- Don't stick a LED strip directly on the surface of your engine; the heat will melt it.
2. PICK A UNIFIED, CLEAN AND DRY SURFACE
- To obtain optimum adhesion, pick a unified surface and prepare it clean and dry.
- Consider to use surface cleaning solvents IPA/ water mixture (rubbing alcohol) or heptane.
3. APPLY PRESSURE AT LEAST 3 SECONDS
- Firm application pressure develops better adhesive contact and helps improve bond strength.
4. WAIT FOR OPTIMUM ADHESION
- The bond strength will increase as the adhesive flows onto the surface.
- Approximately 50% of the ultimate strength will be achieved after 20 minutes, 90% after 24hours and 100% after 72 hours.
5. CUT A STRIP SHORT
- You can cut a strip short to fit a specific spot;
- There are 4 welding points between everything 3 LEDs; cut at the marking line on these 4 welding points.Â
6. CONTACT DITRIO IF COLORS ARE WRONG
- There are 4 pins inside a fast locking connector, and 3 of them are for managing colors
- There is no a universal standard for the sequence for these 4 pins, and each maker makes it their way
- If you have a kit from another brand and you see colors are wrong after adding our individual strips, probably the pins' sequence is different
