How to Use Tourniquet?
1,Wrap the tourniquet at least 2 inches above the wound. The constriction caused by the CAT prevents blood from flowing into the wound, thus stopping the bleeding.
2.Pass the tip of the tourniquet into the slit of the buckle and pull it tightly.
3.Twist the rod counterclockwise or clockwise until the bleeding stops.
4.Place the rod inside the clip of the tourniquet to secure it.
5. record applied time on on the time strap/Time Tab.
NOTE:Do not place the tourniquet below the injured area since it will not stop the bleeding and may even make it worse.
Time Strap
It has enough space provided to record the time and date the tourniquet was applied.
