For the fifty-seventh release in the Vivaldi Edition, Naïve is particularly proud to collaborate, for the first time in this context, with the violinist and conductor, Fabio Biondi. In the 1990s, Biondi made some of the label's most iconic recordings, and his version of the Four Seasons in particular is one of the bestsellers in the catalogue. It is therefore a real pleasure to listen to Fabio Biondi, accompanied by his ensemble Europa Galante, and his glittering performance of the six violin concertos from the cycle entitled La Boemia. A violinist himself, Vivaldi composed some of the most beautiful pieces in the history of music for his favorite instrument. From incandescent allegories to heart-rending adagios, the whole spectrum of human emotions is presented here. The Vivaldi Edition is an ambitious project begun at the beginning of the century to record some 450 works by Vivaldi, many of them unknown, found in the National University Library of Turin.
