- How to avoid ice block between the trays
If your skull ice cubes are not good-looking, that is because the grooves were not engaged properly. To engage them completely, place the trays on a flat surface after pouring liquid and fitting the upper tray into the lower tray. Place one hand on the upper tray and another hand down around the face of the skull on the lower tray and push them to each other until you feel the grooves are engaged. Do this for each cavity. There is a small space between the cavities for a leftover liquid to stay. When you place the trays in your freezer, carefully lift the trays with two hands.
