This rethreading set can be used to clean and repair or cut stainless steel, aluminum, iron, alloy steel, carbon steel, and other difficult to machine materials. The taps fit into the provided 0-1/4" tap (or "T") handle for simple alignment. To avoid binding, back off slightly and use a rocking motion to advance the threads and clear any loose chips. Taps are not bottoming taps for blind holes or tapered easy start taps. Includes SAE sizes.
