- [Easy to Install]: The tool needed: Electric drill and drill bit, Pencil, Hammer side, Chisel. Step 1: Check fit between door edge and jamb with the door locked. Step 2: Mark the lock location on the inside of an inward-swinging door. Step 3: Pre-drill and insert the short screw into the oblong hole; close door to confirm alignment. Step 4: Pre-drill and secure remaining screws. Use short screws first. Ensure your door frame is thick if using long screws
