Every woodworker needs a square and every woodworking project relies on the quality of a square for the quality of the finished project. The accuracy of this square is better than .001" over the entire 8" X 12" size; a direct result of being carefully milled in multiple high RPM passes on state-of-art CNC equipment. One of the unique features of Woodpeckers Precision Aluminum Square is how its constructed. Both the blade and base are machined from a single aluminum block which results in a far higher degree of square then what is possible with the typical two piece design. Both handles and the square are then fitted together with two chrome hardened steel pins which ensures bullet proof rigidity and alignment. Unlike many of today's mass produced, molded or stamped tools, Woodpeckers utilizes its own in house CNC manufacturing capabilities to craft these fine quality tools which you'll be proud to own and pass on for generations. Each square is anodized for durability and laser engraved with inch scale markings for general marking and measuring reference. But by far the squares greatest attribute is how it can help you craft higher quality, more professional cabinetry and furniture. Each square includes a custom fitted block which holds the square, protects it from scratches and dings and can be wall mounted for easy access.

- BUILT WITH PRECISION - Our precision woodworking squares start the manufacturing process as a solid piece of very expensive, extremely stable, cast aluminum tool plate. The plate is then carefully machined in multiple, high RPM passes on our state-of-art CNC equipment. The result is a single-piece ruler and handle square. This manufacturing process insures accuracy to within .001 inch or less along the full length of the tool.
- STRENGTH & ACCURACY - Once we have a perfect square, we add two pieces of precision-machined aluminum to form the cheeks of the handle. These cheeks are fitted to the handle with two stainless steel dowel pins that ensure bulletproof rigidity and perfect alignment when pressed into their precision-machined holes. This kind of strength and accuracy simply cannot be matched by squares made using separate ruler and handle parts or punched-out on a stamping press.
- FEATURES GALORE - The inside edge of the of the square’s handle features a shoulder to allow it to lay flat on the work so you can accurately mark either edge of the rule. The thick base even makes it easy to stand the rule upright to check square on your table saw blade, jointer fence, band saw blade and other machinery setup operations.

We even mill a notch at the inside corner of the square so you can “zero-out” your layout line all the way to the edge of your work.
