Fits many style yokes or flanges, axles or transfer cases including AMC, GM, Ford, Dana, New Process, and Yes the Ford 8.8 unlike the competitors tool. It is 3/8" thick which is much thicker and stronger then the competition as well! Used to hold the yoke in place while applying torque on the nut/pinion nut and for setting bearing pre-load. Perfect for loosening stubborn pinion nuts or for high torque applications such as a crush sleeve that requires 250 ft. lbs. Uses a 1/2" breaker bar and/or a 3/4" pipe for leverage. - Hole is over 2” and fits most sockets. Use a breaker bar to loosen or a torque wrench to tighten retaining nut to spec.
- For higher torque applications use a grade 8 bolt with a shoulder so the threads arent taking the load.
