How to use our stencils:
1.Place the stencil on the cake and hold the stencil by the tab or toothpick. Drop a good amount of lacing on the stencil
near the tap, the weight of the icing also helps to hold down the stencil.
2.Use your spatula to spread out the icing away from the tap. Do not lift the spatula directly or you run the risk of lifting
the stencil with it and getting icing under the pattern. Instead, sweep the knife up from the cake at an angle. Use a plastic
scraper to smooth out the icing to the desired thickness.
3. Slowly peel the stencil away from the cake-left behind is a beautiful delicate stenciled design.
Care Instructions:
Wash the stencil in warm water before use.
Hand wash and dry your stencils immediately.
Cannot be used in the oven.
Technique
1.Royal icing
Place the stencil directly on the cake or onto rolled out modelling paste. Place dollops of royal icing to help the stencil in
place, then spread the royal icing, using a scraper or pallet knife, evenly over the stencil. Gently pull off the stencil and admire.
2.Lustre dusts
Place on a cake that has been freshly covered with sugar paste, roll over the stencil with a rolling pin, smear white vegetable
fat over the exposed pattern, then using a soft brush, dust with luster dust.
3.Chocolate
Spread melted chocolate over the stencil onto a hard chocolate surface but make sure the chocolate you are spreading is
not too hot otherwise it will melt your chocolate base.
4.Icing(powered)sugar/Cocoa
Gently sprinkle through the stencil onto a cake top-but easy does it! The effect is awesome just with a light dusting and
if you dust too much it will spread when someone as much as passes by!
