V-Best stakes are engineered by DAC - the world's top tent pole maker - to be extremely lightweight AND strong; easily withstanding the pounding that users regularly dish out when their stakes hit hidden rocks. They're available in three widths because, obviously, different sized stakes hold best different ground: 'S' for hard ground is easiest to drive in (and pull back out), 'L' for soft ground has the most holding power, and 'M' for in between. The sM size - short Medium - is used by several premium tent brands as their one-size-fits-all stake.

  • High strength custom aluminum alloy, TH72M, is the equal of the strongest and most advanced alloys in the world today. 20% stronger than 7075-T6, more than twice as strong as 6061-T6, and more than three times stronger than 6063-T6 (the most common stake material)
  • Lightweight- S: .40 oz/each, M: .50 oz/ea, L: .70 oz/ea, sM: .46 oz/ea
  • Dimensions- S: .28" x .44" wide x 6.3" long; M: .33" x .52" wide x 7,1" long; L: .39" x .61" wide x 7.8" long; sM: .33" x .52" wide x 6.4" long
  • Strike head is extremely resistant to being bent over or broken. 'V' shape is more efficient than 'Y' shape.
  • User notes: V pointing toward tent is best; wrapping stakouts once around the top prevents slipping off even in buffeting winds; size L is monstrously heavy duty
