Planting:
First loosen the soil with your Knife, using a digging or twisting motion depending on how clumped the soil is. When seeding - drag the point of the blade along the soil surface to make your furrow, then sprinkle the seeds in and cover. When transplanting seedlings, use the graduation marks to measure the correct depth for the hole. When planting bulbs is is a good idea to keep the knife in the soil until the bulb is in place, holding the hole open.
