We knew that coffee grounds residing deep in the center of such a filter - too distant from water - couldn't contribute tot the brew for lack of water-flow and water exposure. So we decided to LENGTHENED our popular "Senior Grande" filter, retaining its 2-ply liner construction still ensuring most all the coffee grounds would reside no further than 3 inches from the outside water.
