Glass: The Trial;

Orange Mountain presents Philip Glass's 2014 opera The Trial, based on the book by Franz Kafka with a libretto by Oscar-winning writer Christopher Hampton. The recording is taken from the world première production performed by Music Theatre Wales under the direction of Michael Rafferty. The Trial is Glass s second opera based on the work of Kafka. Scored for chamber orchestra and performed with a cast of first rate singers, the music deftly evokes the macabre nature of the tale and Kafka's absurdisms.
