Tenkara fishing originates in Japan and has become quite popular here in the United States. Our Tenkara rod is a 12' rod with 9 telescoping sections. This rod is finished in Wild Water's signature matte green color and weighs only 3.1 ounces and when all the sections are stored in the butt section, the total length of the rod is only 20 1/8". This rod will come in a rod sock and a hard storage case that is 23 1/4" long. You will also receive a black foam line spool, a spool of 5X Tippet material, a 10.5 ft furled level line in chartreuse, Wild Water's Small Fly box with 12 hand picked flies specifically for use with a Tenkara rod (6 different patterns), 2 hook/line keepers, a pair of nippers and a Wild Water zinger.
