Deposed King of Norway, Erik Blood-Axe, carries a wound that forever reminds him of his defeat at Yngvar's hands. Infuriated and humiliated, Erik puts a bounty on Yngvar's life. Erik's son doubles the bounty if Yngvar is first handed over to him. He will cut off Yngvar's legs in retribution for his father's injury.
