Instructions on Use
- Immerse the stone in water for 30 minutes (you can do longer if you want, but wait for bubbles to disappear)
- Place onto the rubber or bamboo footing with the #1000 grit facing up
- Place your knife tip at the bottom of the stone at roughly 15° angle
- Smoothly glide the knife up the stone ensuring that all of the edge makes contact with the whetstone
- Flip the blade over and repeat
- Make sure to keep the stone moist by dripping water on it as it dries
- When the you feel you have removed the dull edge, then flip and repeat on the #6000 side
- Wash the knife and wipe clean
