For temporary hold you just peel and stick in place on just about any clean surface. For permanent placement all you need to do is apply the patch where you would like and turn garment inside out and press down with your iron on high no forward or back word motion iron which will create a permanent bond to the clothing. After about 20 sec roll a cold dry pop can over the ironed area to make the adhesive bond with extra hold.
