We created a Fair Trade Organic Sumatra dark roast that maintains the essence of the bean's complexity and array of flavor profiles without going too far as commonly done for gourmet dark roast coffee.
About the Grower
The grower is from the Koperasi Kopi Gayo Organic Cooperative. Variety is known as Bourbon, Catimor and Typica in the regions of Aceh, Sumatra and Indonesia. The altitude is between 1,200 and 1,600 meters with a volcanic loan soil type which gives it that wood earth note. They use a wet hulled / sun dried process.
