The Prevost ISG 061201 industrial profile, safety coupler is an evolution in compressed air connectivity. The 2-stage disconnection allows the operator to vent all downstream (tool side) air in the first stage (upward motion), while the coupler maintains connection to the plug, then .. releases the plug with the second stage with a "downward" motion. By maintaining connectivity with the plug after venting the "tool side" air, the operator can safely maneuver (come down a ladder, lower a tool from an elevated work-space, store and/or transport the tool) knowing the the tool is not charged with air, but still secured to the hose.
