Venusian Love Songs;

Two CD set. The late Paul Kantner was the founder for the Jefferson Airplane and later Jefferson Starship. Venusian Love Songs was part of a project Paul began back in 2011 which was originally intended to release a new volume of music every few months. Playing with Kantner on this studio recording are Dave Frieberg (Quicksilver Messenger Service, Jefferson Starship), long time guitar compadre Slick Aguilar (Starship), and Cathy Richardson From Starship. Jefferson Airplane co-pilot Marty Balin also guests with fellow Airplane and Hot Tuna bassist Jack Casady. Along with original material, there's a slew of great covers including The Beatles' "All You Need is Love" and a mash up that blends U2's "Pride In The Name Of Love" with Balin's "Miracles" and Martin Luther King's "I Have A Dream" speech.
