6 of Granular Activated Carbon Filters (GAC) - GAC filters are well-known for their highly efficient reduction of chlorine taste and odor, as well as other taste and odors of many organic chemicals and volatile organic compounds and effectively provide good general purpose drinking water filtration. Construction of this filter cartridge allows water to enter at one end and pass through the entire length of the carbon bed before exiting the other end of the cartridge, while an internal expansion pad minimizes channeling or bypass before the water exits the cartridge.

All GAC filters are made with high quality coconut shell carbon crushed into positively charged granules. Positively charged granule of this cartridge aloud to remove negative ions from the water, such as: chlorine, fluorides, ozone, and dissolved organic solutes.
