Some say I’m worse than death. But I’m also a normal girl. I just happen to be cursed with the ability to drive a mind to insanity simply with my touch.
I can’t control my curse, which is why I’ve spent most of my life in a cage. Nothing survives my touch either, at least as far as I know.
Most call me a monster. Sometimes I wonder if maybe they’re right.
So when Caspian, a cocky, demanding—and I’ll admit, extremely looking—jinni shows up at my cage and demands I go with him so he can exchange my life for his sister’s, I agree, hoping I can do something good for once. I just wish Caspian didn’t despise me so much.

I’ve heard rumors of one being locked in a cage somewhere in town and after a lot of searching, I manage to track her down.
But she isn’t like the other Maddenings I’ve crossed paths with. Instead of an evil, dangerous monster, she’s a sweet, witty, and beautiful girl. The more I get to know her, the more I don’t like the idea of giving her up. But if I don’t then my sister will die.
