About the composer:
Soren Bebe is considered one of the leading pianists and composers on the European scene of jazz and contemporary music. Born in Odense, Denmark, on December 5th, 1975, Soren Bebe took his first piano lesson at age 8.
In 2004 he graduated from the Royal Danish Conservatory in Aarhus with an Advanced Postgraduate Diploma in Music.
Soren Bebe has released several jazz records as well as ballet class music albums and performs very regularly on the international concert circuit.
Esbjorn Svensson and Tord Gustavsen are the two most often mentioned when describing the sound of Bebe?s piano playing and compositions.
And yet Bebe has a style all of his own: warm, intensely melodic and frequently playful, but always underscored by an unshowy lightness of touch with just a hint of Scandinavian melancholy.
