For instance, if you set the lights on timer at 5:00 PM, it will turn off at 11:00 PM that night. Without having to touch the power switch again, the lights will turn on at 5:00 PM and off at 11:00 PM automatically the next day and continue doing so until powered off manually or batteries run out.
