Main Function:
The Audio Cable Splitter (TRRS 3.5mm Male to 2xTRS 3.5mm female) is a Splitter Adapter Cable that can split the Phone/Laptop TRRS output into one Headphone and one Microphone. If you do own a TRS Headphone and/or a TRS Microphone, you can use them with this adapter.
Where to use the Audio Cable:
1. The Laptop (some Apple and Dell) with Combo Jack splitter, Plug the male side of the adapter to your laptop, and plug your external Headphone and Microphone to the female side of the adapter. 2. The Game Console, like Xbox, Plug the male side of the adapter to your Xbox headset, then plug your TRS headphone and microphone to the female side of the adapter. 3. All kind of smart phone made after 2010, iPhone 4 and up, Samsung Note2 and up, Moto, Sony, LG etc..
Incompatibility issues:
Some Microphones will not work with this cable, this includes: Dynamic Microphones and Condenser Microphones that requires higher power or have a mismatch impedance.
Note If the cable did not work, or you had a reduction in sound quality, please try both cables (as you will receive 2 of them by default), also try to restart your phone.
- This Cable will enable you to use your existing Headphone and Microphone with new jack that accepts only (TRRS) input. You do not need to buy new Headset or Microphone.
- This is a (TRRS) (Tip-Ring-Ring-Sleeve) Audio Cable Adapter. Its main function is to split the (TRRS) jack into one separate TRS 3.5mm headphone and one (TRS) 3.5mm Microphone.
- (TRRS) jack is always found in phones that are (CTIA/AHJ) compliant, almost all smart phones nowadays (and after 2010) are compliant. Use the cable with your phone to enable external Microphone and external speakers.
- (TRRS) jack is also found in some new laptops that has Combo-Jack (headphone and microphone icon), use this cable to split the combo jack into 2 ports, one will be TRS 3.5mm headphone jack and one will be (TRS) 3.5mm microphone port.
- This adapter is not a headphone (splitter/Y-cable). It cannot be used to split the audio output to two separate sets of headphones or speakers.
