It comes with an attached snap hook and a loose clip that allows you to feed the cable through one side of the clip, loop it around posts, joists and the like, and then feed the cable through the other side of the clip creating a securely fastened cable. Once the cable is pulled taught, it offers a sturdy way to hang heavy duty globe string lights over large open areas, preventing sagging string lights.
