Carnelian has long been used in many different ways. In ancient times it was used as a wax sealer because hot wax does not stick to carnelian. It has been found in other decorative pieces dating back to 1800 BC. Carnelian is found in many shades of orange up to a brown/black. These reds are due to the presence of iron in the stones. Carnelian is commonly associated with the sacral chakra.
Each Zentron branded rough stone lot comes from all natural crystal and comes with a velvet carrying pouch and a Zentron rock information sheet. Each stone lot will have a slightly different appearance due to the uniqueness of the rock from which it is cut.
