BUILDING A SHELTER
When you are out in the wilderness there is a good chance you will need to build a shelter. Especially if you are spending the night. The most simple shelter to build is the "lean-to shelter". It can be set up in less than an hour with a variety of materials and can protect you from both wind and rain.
HOW TO BUILD IT
Use paracord or cut vines as cordage to secure a long, stout pole between two trees. Cover one side with poles, brush or branches. Use The Friendly Swede Folding saw to cut through and custom fit the size of the branches needed. Then, heap leaves, grasses, palm fronds, or any other vegetation that is available on top to create a canopy or roof.
NOTE: If the wind or rain changes direction you'll no longer be sheltered.
