The Best Me is James Ashcroft’s real account of his transformation from a sedentary, overweight couch potato, to long distance triathlete.

It all started in late 2011. While on a plane, he suffered a panic attack. He was almost forty pounds overweight, and it became the first physical warning that he needed to change the way he treated his body.

A few months later, he found himself in the hospital after suffering a debilitating migraine. That was the final straw.

He reevaluated his entire lifestyle. He started training, improving his eating habits, losing weight, and took on an epic challenge to test himself. That challenge turned out to be the 2013 Ironmanâ„¢ Triathlon, comprising a 2.4 mile swim, a 112 mile bike ride, and a full 26.2 mile marathon.

However, The Best Me is much more than his journey to the Ironman™ starting line. In Part 2, James introduces the easy-to-implement, 4-step process to discover what matters most in your life. It’s a simple, conscious system that focuses on having the right people around, and doing activities that fulfill you the most.
