Prior to first use, we recommend running your new product through the dishwasher or soaking in 1 part water mixed with 1 part vinegar for an hour or so.
To make clear cubes use distilled or boiled Water. After you boil the water, allow it to cool a bit then pour the hot water into the mold and your cubes will turn out more clear and will freeze more quickly.
Because any open food product, plastic or rubber food container will attract and retain odors after extended periods of time, we strongly suggest that you use your Ice Trays to make cubes but that you remove and use the cubes quickly or store them in a sealed container, and that you do not store your trays in the freezer.
Do not be concerned if you notice a white residue on the inside of trays, or on top of your ice. When water freezes, minerals in the water will also freeze and may deposit in, on top or bottom of ice. Using distilled or boiled water as noted may reduce the amount and appearance of minerals.
