5.5 Yards of White Spring Steel Boning 1/4";

Roll of continuous spring steel boning, coated with a durable white nylon-based coating. 5.5 yards long (5 meters). Choose 1/4" or 1/2" wide. This style of boning is ideal for straight seams, such as the center front and back of a corset. It does not bend side to side (only front to back) so for curved seams, you'll want to use spiral steel boning. Boning is always placed between two or more layers of fabric, either set into a bone casing, or between a top-stitched seam allowance and the outer fabric. Safe to hand wash and dry clean. To cut to your desired length, use very strong wire cutters, and to keep the ends smooth inside the garment, apply a silver end cap or tool dip from the hardware store.
