Gaboon Ebony grows across equitorial west Africa, and is usually jet-black, with little to no variation or visible grain. Occasionally dark brown or grayish-brown streaks may be present. Has a high oil ocntent, and requires sharp tools. Use sealer to close the pores when finishing.
