Frankincense Sacra Essential Oil is from the Boswellia Sacra tree, which grows in Oman, Yemen, and Somalia. It is widely believed to be the variety of Frankincense described in the Bible.
For a long time, there was debate whether this is actually the same species as Boswellia carterii. Recently, chemical analysis of the resin of the two plants has shown that these are indeed different species with different makeups and properties.
