High Pockets, Dudley, Eli, Pinapple, Brownie. Young soldiers trying to stay alive. It's Vietnam in 1968 and doing so is easier said than done. Drugs, hookers, rock and roll. Firefights, mortar attacks, and incompetent officers doing more harm than good. This is Nam as told by someone who was there, saw it, lived it, survived it. This is his story, with enough names, dates and places reworded for him to call it a novel. But it all happened, more or less, and every Nam vet who reads it will know that it's the real deal.
