Sloppy shifting is the bane of serious climbers. You know the feeling--you shift, nothing happens, and then BANG! You slam down two gears and totally lost momentum. SRAM's Red-X Glide Chainring is ridiculously responsive, though, so you'll never have to wait for your chain to drop down or jump a ring when you really need it to. By redesigning the chainring to better align with the chain's pins and increasing the number of points where shifts can engage, SRAM was able to speed up shifting to light-speed levels, so there's never a delay between moving the lever and switching up your gearing. SRAM manufactured the Red X-Glide from CNC-machined 7075-T6 aluminum for serious stiffness, and designed it with a multitude of BCDs, teeth options, and colors, so you can find the perfect one. Please note that it's designed only for use with SRAM 11 Yaw 11-speed cranks.
