Giro Air Attack Shield Helmet;

While we're not prepared to claim that the aerodynamics of Giro's Air Attack Shield Helmet is enough to make the difference between a podium and an also-ran, the wind tunnel-tested design certainly can't hurt your changes. This year's updated version continues to offer many of the same lightweight, efficient features as the previous versions with the addition of a redesigned shield to further improve its drag-shedding capabilities. The polycarbonate Flash shield, produced by Carl Zeiss Optics, serves to redirect air flow and keep your eyes protected and vision clear at high speeds. Post-race, it can be flipped up or unfastened entirely using its magnetic clips. An In-Mold polycarbonate shell provides structural integrity to the Air Attack Shield's EPS foam body, diffusing impact in the event of a crash. For added comfort, Giro includes removable X-Static padding, which works with the Roc Loc Air fit system to ensure the helmet has a secure, streamlined fit. Six vents and internal channeling ensure that aerodynamics don't come at the cost of stifling heat by allowing for plenty of cooling airflow.
